SAUGUS RIVER TRAIL (YELLOW BLAZED)
This trail goes from gate 15, not far from the North Shore Voke Tech parking area in Wakefield alongside the Golf Course and the Saugus River, ending up by the Lynn Parking area.
BREAKHEART MAIN LOOP - HEMLOCK ROAD
The main paved loop is HEMLOCK ROAD which goes all the way around the perimeter of Breakheart Res.
INNER BREAKHEART LOOP
The Inner Loop Loops halfway around the reservation on Paved path.
FLUME TRAIL:
FLUE TRAIL IS A CARRIAGE/FIRE ROAD THAT CONNECTS BETWEEN HEMLOCK ROAD PATH AND THE INNER BREAKHEART TRAIL. You can use this as a part of a loop with Pierce Lake Trail, and as a connector back toward the beack. There is a beautiful vista of the Flume waterfall, and a connection trail to Silver Lake trail.
SILVER LAKE TRAIL: (light blue blazed)
Silver Lake trail encircles Silver Lake. Offers great views, wildlife watching, and sunsets. Offers connection to the Perimeter trail and from there you can get over to the Fox Run, Breakheart Hill and Saugus River Trails
EAGLE ROCK
Eagle rock trail is Red Blazed and heads up to Eagle Rock, offering great sunsets, wildlife watching and sweeping views of the park
BREAKHEART HILL TRAIL
BREAKHEART HILL TRAIL blazed yellow and goes up Breakheart Hill. You can see the Boston Skyline from here, and remnants of the old ski slope.
ASH HILLE - ASH PATH
Ash path encircles Ash hill, and can be used in conjunction with other trails to make a longer loop. Walka round Ash Path and then cut up the Ridge trail (White blazed) to the top of Ash Hill - View of Boston Skyline.
FERN TRAIL: Fern Trail is Yellow Blazed, and goes from near the Voke Tech Wakefield Parking area. To Pierce Lake Trail....Other Link trails cut over toward Eagle Rock and the Jeep Path.
RIDGE TRAIL:
Ridge Trail goes along a ridge and is strenuous. Not recommened for dogs or young children. Lots of scrambling over jagged rocks and rocks. Easy to slip. Not recommended for elderly hikers. Experienced hikers only. Offers sweeping vistas, is one of the less used paths in the park but rewarding upon completion..
FOX RUN TRAIL (RED BLAZED)
FOX RUN TRAIL GOES OVER A RIDGE From Breakheart Hill - near the Lynn Side Parking area to the Beach. There is a steep section at the beach end you must go down but it is passable. There are pine needles covering the hill so use caution.
