EMERSON GARDEN

EMERSON GARDEN

Elijah Emerson built a Gothic Revival house here in 1846. The property had a small pond and a gazebo. Emerson began to develop the land in 1880s, erecting 10 houses to rent. After his death in 1907, his daughters sold two acres to the Town for a park, and the house and barn were moved across Davis Avenue, where they stand today
